Giving free needles to drug addicts is like treating a bullet wound with a band-aid.
It’s not going to work, and it will only make the problem fester even more.
I wonder what side the Church, Catholic Charities, and like organizations will take when the medical marijuana debate begins in this state. And it will begin soon.

ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see the position that is taken on that issue, not only in the Church, but in society in general. I for one am all for medical marijuana. If it helps, one should be able to use it. It's a heck of a lot safer than so many of the "legal" pharmicuticals (oxycoton, Vicodin, manay anti-depressants- ever actually listen to some of the side-effects,) pretty scary stuff! Marijuan is natural, and has been used for centuries to treat a variety of medical issues, so in this case, I beleive we should stick with the tried and true!
